BI Cooks for Sukkot and Simchat Torah
Beth Israel Cooks for Sukkot and Simchat Torah
There are no traditional foods for Sukkot. That said, foods for Sukkot tend to be ones that can easily transport outside into a Sukkah, are fine at room temperature or if they cool off some, and/or highlight a bountiful harvest. Here are some possibilities. Feel free to share some of your favorite recipes and we can add them to the page. And if you cook something for Sukkot this year, share your photos on our Facebook page!
Gypsy Soup by Molly Katzen (from the Moosewood Cookbook) suggested by Marion Hamermesh (click here to buy the cookbook)
Mujuderra by Gil Marks (from Olive Trees and Honey) suggested by Laura Lee Blechner (click here to buy the cookbook)
