BI Now Adapted for Hearing Disabilities
BI Now Adapted for Hearing Disabilities
Thanks to a generous grant to make Beth Israel as accessible as possible, we have installed an audio-loop listening system in the sanctuary. It enables people with cochlear implants and most modern (telecoil-enabled) hearing aids to have all audio from the sanctuary's sound system sent directly to their devices, with no further equipment needed (just set your hearing aid to the "telephone" or "telecoil" setting).
People with general hearing loss, and those using hearing aids without the telecoil feature, may use our convenient listening devices (about the size of a smartphone).
This new listening system is available whenever the sanctuary sound system is being used. We'll be glad to help - just ask your service leaders for assistance.
