Education Committee
Education Committee
One of the many ways to be involved...
The Education Committee for our school works hand-in-hand with our Hebrew School Education Director to create an inviting place for our children to learn. Our committee plans and assists with special events and programs for the children and parents involved in the school, and connects the school to activities within the congregation and our surrounding Jewish community, and throughout the world.
We also serve as liaison between the Hebrew School Education Director and the congregation, and as liaison between the teachers and Ed. Director when necessary. We provide assistance to the Ed. Director to ensure that the needs of students are met, both as individuals and as part of the larger student group. We establish policies with respect to student disciplinary matters, teacher employment, curriculum and special projects. We also perform various administrative duties such as recruit class parents, establish emergency contact procedures, and communicate with our students and families.
We meet every month during Sunday morning Hebrew School. If you have any questions about or would like to join the Ed Committee, please contact the front office.
