Other Sustainability Efforts

In 2023, Beth Israel launched a “Green Torah” group to (1) explore contemporary understandings of the multiple planetary crises we are facing and various attempts to respond to them, (2) to understand the connections between Jewish teachings and human responses (or lack of responses), and to (3) to create a ritual and interactive space to process these challenges as we learn about and confront them.
