Thank you for your interest in Congregation Beth Israel!
Congregation Beth Israel of Media is a Reconstructionist synagogue in Delaware County (just outside Philadelphia) that is supported by 180 family units. We have been a congregation since 1925, and our members come from all over the Delaware Valley (including the Wilmington, Delaware area).
Together we represent a diverse group with varied backgrounds and religious affiliations. Our membership includes interfaith couples, single-parent families, same-sex families, individual memberships, and members of different ethnicities. Everyone is welcome into our warm and friendly community.
If you would like to join Beth Israel as an official member, please submit this form. If you'd prefer a PDF/Word version or if you have any questions/difficulty with the form, please
email our Office Manager, Mikayla
.

Chaver I:
an individual or family that lives less than 75 miles away from Beth Israel, and/or who is a member in good standing at another synagogue

For an Individual account, current dues rates are as follows:
Annual membership dues: $1,137.00
Annual recommended (but not required) Nadiv Lev*: $250.00
New Individual and Family member units are asked to give only half of the annual dues (and no Nadiv Lev) during their first full year of membership.
Please do not let our dues discourage you from joining.
NO MEMBER WILL EVER BE TURNED AWAY DUE TO FINANCIAL INABILITY.
If you are ever unable to pay your annual dues, we will be happy to issue an abatement, either in part or in full, and can also help you set up a payment plan.
We want to make sure everyone feels welcome, regardless of finances.
*Nadiv Lev is an entirely voluntary contribution of the heart and is never required. We are happy to remove it from your account with no questions asked.
