High Holy Days 2022 Highlights for Families with Children

These events may be especially friendly (or accommodating) for families with younger and/or teen children.

All sanctuary services will be streamed on Zoom. Find links here. Kids can watch or play at home during the Zoom. Child care offered during Yom Kippur morning services only this year (TBD, please confirm). Find Tot Shabbat and other child-friendly events here.

Rosh Hashanah

Monday, September 26:
Rosh Hashanah services 10:00 am
Tashlich and Shofar Blowing at Smedley Park (BYO picnic lunch) 12:30 pm 
 

Yom Kippur

Tuesday, October 4:
Kol Nidre/Erev Yom Kippur services 7:00 pm
Wednesday, October 5:
Family Service 9:30 am (BI Lower Level only, no Zoom)
Morning Service 10:00 am, with Yizkor service at 12:00 pm
Neilah/closing service at approx 6:30 pm - final shofar blast ending Yom Kippur at approximately 7:20 pm

Sukkot

Sunday, October 9 11:00 am Sukkah Decorating during Hebrew School and Pizza Lunch RSVP
Monday, October 10 and Thursday, October 13 at 8:30 am Joyful singing of Hallel at our Weekday Spiritual Practice Zooms.
Friday, October 14:
Tot Shabbat family gathering 5:45 pm
Sukkot/Shabbat service and catered dinner around the Sukkah table RSVP 6:30 pm
 

Simchat Torah

Sunday, October 16:
Hebrew School afternoon session/Adult Learning during Hebrew School 4:00 pm
Potluck Dinner in the Sukkah RSVP 5:30 pm Bring a dish to share.
Erev Simchat Torah services in the sanctuary 6:30 pm
