Intro to Biblical Hebrew 2018-2019

A Wonderful Opportunity this Fall!  Beginning just after the High Holidays, Mekom Torah is offering a new course in Beginning Biblical Hebrew, taught by the talented and kind Laura Lee Blechner. This course is for people who can read the letters but have little or no background in understanding what they read. It’s going to be low-key and fun, but the results will change your relationship to the Bible, the prayer book, and life.

The class will be based on the textbook The First Hebrew Primer: The Adult Beginner's Path to Biblical Hebrew, published by EKS, which teaches basic vocabulary and grammar, supplemented by real biblical passages. (available through Amazon, AbeBooks, Alibris, etc.)

We’ll ask participants to contribute a small tuition fee, but we’ll have back-up funding to make it work for everybody.
