The March 2013 was Herman Wouk's new novel, "The Lawgiver." The book "tells the story of Moses through letters, emails, journals, tweets, and text messages" (Oct/Nov issue of AARP). The group will meet March 3, 2013 at 10:30 AM.
The December 2012 book was "Stars of David: Prominent Jews Talk About Being Jewish" by Abigail Pogrebin. The book consists of interviews by the author with sixty-two of the most accomplished Jews in America who speak intimately about how they feel about being Jewish. The book inspired a musical "Stars of David" currently playing on Broad Street and reviewed recently in the Exponent.
The book for October 2012 was Exile by Richard North Patterson. It is an exciting novel that discusses all viewpoints (Israeli and Palestinian) on the Israeli - Palestinian problem. |
