Summary |
Friends, as we find ourselves wintering down, I am reminded of William Carlos Williams poem, Winter Trees.
All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.
May we, in this moment between Tu B’shvat and Purim, allow ourselves the wisdom of rest and renewal, remembering that the buds of our creativity are ready to emerge. And may we also appreciate the beauty of the starker landscapes around us, remembering that these too, are blessings.
