Religious School Classes

The Mechina (Pre-school) Sunday Program
Meets one Sunday per month during school year, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Only youth education program open to members and non-members

Gan (Kindergarten) Program
Meets one Sunday per month during school year, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the exception of one Saturday Family Education day where parents can become active learners as we guide them in teaching their own children the joys of being Jewish.

Aleph. Bet and Gimmel (Grades 1, 2, and 3)
Meets each Sunday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. • Monthly Shabbat service attendance is expected.

Dalet. Hay, Vav and Zavin (Grades 4, 5, 6, and 7)
Meets each Sunday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and Tuesday afternoon from 4:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Semi-monthly Shabbat service attendance is expected.
An optional Family Education program is available.

Midrasha Aleoh and Bet (Grades 8 through 12)
Students will meet with Rabbi Linda on eight or nine Sundays throughout the year.
All sessions begin with a light bagel lunch.
Students may also continue their studies through Gratz High School (Delaware/Chester County Division).
Post Bar/Bat Mitzvah students are encouraged to work as education aides in our Hebrew School. A stipend is provided.

Mekom Torah

Mekom Torah is a collaborative project of RRC, Reconstructionist Congregation Beth Israel of Media, PA, and Conservative Congregation Ohev Shalom of Wallingford, PA. Mekom Torah offers a High School program to “Explore and experience what it means to be Jewish - here, now, in real life” or 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students.
